Rostron Premium Home Services, like many other family-owned, local home service companies, do our best to live up to our name. One of our core values is that “premium” equates to clarity and minimal disappointment. We’ve all been there. Promised something by someone we trust, only to have the rug pulled out from under us. In an effort to show our neighbors and loyal customers that we have their best interest at heart, we offer a clear message that is tough to deliver:
It takes time to receive parts.
Just like you rely on us to do our best to get your Jersey Shore home back up and running, we count on distributors both near and far to supply us with what we need to do the job.

What Does the Ordering Process Look Like?
Our technicians come to your home in a fully stocked truck from our fully stocked warehouse right in Wall. Things like filters, capacitors, and even universal motors are organized and aplenty. To some HVAC techs, it’s kind of like the North Pole. However, there are occurrences where the repair cannot be completed with the parts they have available to them. The technician will find either the original part or a suitable replacement (if the part is
discontinued) and alert our office so our Service Manager can monitor and check in on the part if needed. To avoid confusion and crossed wires, Rostron Premium Home Services reaches out as soon as the part is either in hand or there is a confirmed delivery date.
Why Do Some Parts Take Longer Than Others?
Most Jersey Shore HVAC companies will limit the number of suppliers they work with to keep the logistics (payments, delivery, etc.) as clean as possible while streamlining the entire process. That being said, parts still need to be ordered from dozens of places, depending on where they’re available.
The brand, model, size, and age, sometimes even down to the month, can determine what parts are compatible for the repair. Universal parts will work for some but not all and some are required to be ordered from manufacturer directly especially when warranties are involved. Taking all factors into consideration, some parts will be available for pick up immediately, while others could take days, weeks, or even months to arrive.
What Can I Do to Minimize AC Downtime?
While there may be some signs, no one really plans for an air conditioning breakdown. That’s why we recommend taking action beforehand:
DON’T WAIT – If your system had problems cooling your Jersey Shore home last year, or it’s older than your adult children, it might be time to consider scheduling a service appointment or free estimate for replacement. Don’t get us wrong, New Jersey Summers are not to be trifled with. It will cause your
system to run continuously and it may not reach temperature until the heat and humidity breaks.
SET A GAME PLAN – We consider our technicians to be very good communicators, but they can’t make the choice for you. Having a conversation between all decision-makers to discuss factors like age and history of issues can drastically cut down on the amount of time between the breakdown and repair.
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE – All HVAC systems deserve a little love. By scheduling routine maintenance on your system, you can avoid preventable repairs. For the ones you can’t dodge, your technician may be able to catch it before a full breakdown. As a bonus, you’ll be saving money on your utility bills while also extending the lifespan of your system!
